Join me in memorizing PSALM 1 this month!
So here is your chance to join us in memorizing one chapter of scripture each month. We have chosen 12 of the most powerful chapters in the Bible to memorize this year. When you learn this chapter with us, make a short video of yourself reciting it as I have done here. Post the link in the comments below so the rest of us can see and hear your! (I use the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible, but you use whatever translation you have.) Are you ready?
[I wish we had a way to take Before and After shots of our souls. 🙂 This will be better than any makeover you could pay for on earth. Your soul will somehow start to feel scrubbed and plumped and courageous and challenged….it’s really indescribable so I will stop trying to explain it. :)]
PSALM 1 (ESV)
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
